Climate

The area around Friuli is in every way stunningly beautiful, but the climate is also a major reason to buy your summer residence here.

Friuli is 1300 km south of Denmark . This means an average day temperature 5 to 10 degrees Celsius above the Danish and in the summer time, a large number of long warm nights, where shorts and a t-shirt are enough clothes.

Of course it rains here too, otherwise it would not be so lush, but the rain (heavy when it comes), is spread over fewer days.
As a rule of thumb the spring and summer usually arrives a month earlier than in Denmark.

The summer is always warm and lasts a month longer – not a hit and miss affair as it is often the case in Denmark .
The photo of the wild crocus are from February 2005. They grow wild in the forest.
For us northerners – other “exotic vegetation” to be mentioned is: citrus, sweet chestnut, olives, figs, kiwi, grapes, sharon fruit and palm trees.
